Monday 26th April 2004
Got up at 05:15hrs as I couldn’t
sleep any longer so I am writing this. I have for
about 4 weeks had pains in my left side just above
my hip, which starts in my back and travels round
to the front. This pain is a dull ache and bearing
in mind that they don’t know where my primary
cancer is, this scares me. Starting last night and
more so this morning this ache has now spread to
my right hand side.
Spent time on the Mouthcancerawareness.org.uk message
board and found it very helpful as they were able
to quell my fears about the 50/50 issue. It seems
this means 50/50 chance of survival after 5 years.
Did not do much this morning until 10:30 when I
got dressed and went to see my solicitor, got to
sort my affairs just in case.
Guess what, I decided to get some fun in before
the ops and such like. I went to a house of ill
repute, Viagra in hand but still failed. Cost me
£50 to give them a laugh. Got to see the funny
side though. Does this mean I’m starting to
come to terms with this cancer? Going to Anthony’s
house for tea. I will get through this and plan
to take my son snow boarding in November.
