Friday 11th June 2004
Mr Bem visited me this morning and said I could
go home (AT LAST!). My brother Peter is coming to
collect me after work. I spent morning watching
third test (cricket) on television. After lunch
I popped across to the Head and Neck Support Group.
A social worker called to see me pm and filled in
all the forms for me then said she would fax them
to the relevant dept in Lancashire. Peter came for
me about 4 pm and told me that they had agreed that
I should stay with my sister Louise until I felt
able to cope. When I got home I felt tired and really
drained. It was nice not to sleep in a hospital
bed, although I did wake up several times not sure
where I was! Although the hospital food was not
too bad, it’s nothing like home cooked food.
I must say at this point A BIG THANKYOU TO ALL THE
NURSES AND DOCTOR for the expertise and kindness
during my stay in hospital.
