 The Rarer Cancers Forum recognised that people with cancer often have problems with appetite, eating and digestion, with weight loss being a common occurrence during a person’s cancer journey. The Rarer Cancers Forum wanted to develop a DVD for cancer patients and their families to help with these issues and Nutricia were delighted to be asked to help and provided the charity with an educational grant. The DVD explains the causes of many of the problems associated with cancer and nutrition and offers practical tips to help ensure that patients get the calories and nutrients they need. In the DVD you can see celebrity chef Ed Baines working with cancer patients to prepare tasty and nutritious snacks and meals. Thanks for putting us onto this Vinod. I sent for it & it came very quickly. Its an excellent teaching tool both for patients & carers which I wish I had had when Brian was going through treatment. The DVD is easy to watch, being divided into sections eg: Sore mouth & difficulty in swallowing,Pain, Diarrhoea & vomiting, Sickness & the reasons for it.
Its intended for all cancers but mentions the particular problems for Head & Neck cancers frequently.I recommend it. |
