Well it has certainly been a long year for our family & friends, so much has happened since my husband was diagnosed on Aug 13/08. Treatment was not easy on him; but to say the leas, who is it every easy on. Since I last posted he was in and out of hospital, spent Xmax, New Years and most of the spring in & out sometimes weeks at a a time. I think at one point it was 5 weeks. However, I'm not looking back only ahead. Recovery is slow with complications from radiation and chemo, and the drugs; I didn't think that a person could take so many at a time. Well now that he has been cancer free for 6 months, just waiting on results from a second PET scan just done a week ago, no news is good news, the longer we wait for the Dr's office to phone with the results the better we feel. Well for all who I've corresponded with over the last year I appreciate your support it was sometimes the only time I really had a chance to say how I really felt. I must say I'm doing much better the anger is not as bad as it once was; however, sometimes I think it is I that needs to be medicated and not my husband. Well, as I said a lot has happened, our daughter, Ashley had a beautiful baby girl, "Cassidy. Our other daughter, Lindsey was married to a great guy and low and behold we bought a bike. Never thought I'd see myself on the back of one but every time my husband is having a good day I'm just along for the ride, and loving it. I know that I was not the one with the cancer, however; I'm a survivor to this disease, one that nearly took my best friend away. For everyone out there who is a survivor like I am fighting from the outside looking in there is hope.. Smiler Smiler

Hi Linash

Good to hear from you, and especially to hear that things are feeling a bit better for you.

Congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter and on your daughter's wedding. And, as for the bike, well I don't know what to say - it sounds great. After the difficult time you and your husband have had it is lovely to hear all your good news.

All best wishes

Gwyn
