I found this bio earlier today on a social networking site (FB) that has nothing to do with cancer. The author's picture showed a well-built, healthy looking guy with a great smile. Thought I'd share:
Doing great.
I AM A WARRIOR - beat cancer 3 times! Been thru hell - 7 yrs ago, treated with chemo & radiation for neck cancer. 3 yrs ago, surgery for oral tongue cancer. 2 yrs ago reconstructive surgery (12 hrs) & radiation for base of tongue cancer. 1 yr ago reconstructive surgery (22 hrs) to replace my jawbone killed by the radiation. 6 months of speech & swallowing therapy & now 11 new teeth. I speak with a speech impediment & swallowing food isn't easy. But I'm healthy as a horse & am enjoying my life.
I owe my life to my husband, my family, and friends who surrounded me with love & support. And to the team of surgeons, doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, therapists, & nutritionists who not only saved my life but helped me rebuild myself. I am a very lucky man!

Two and a half years cancer free. When I finished thirty radiation treatments my mouth was in unbelievable pain. I do take medications now but I can eat a lot of foods now. I feel so much better.I can even drink coffee. I am so thankful to be alive.
