I rang the consultants secretary last week and explained that Robert had tongue cancer and it wasn't helping his recovery from treatment having to wait 11 weeks for our son to see the consultant. We now have an appointment for tomorrow!

hi all
im really pleased you got that sorted so quick lorraine and that all is good news for you..... my prob is that my dentist referred me to a ornodontalist or summat so im now back on the waiting list for ent and im not even sure if i should be seeing him........ im wrecked at mo and cant fone anyone as i dont know who he is reffering me to.... i only hope that when i hear i can get a urgent appointment as ive now lost 2 stone as i cant eat good luck and all the best jeff |

Just ask your dentist for this information and also request an urgent appointment saying that you are worried it might be cancer and that you are having trouble swallowing. thanx everyone for your support.......today i feel like sh1t my neck aches like hell and i have numbness in my arms and a very sore throat.. i have bought some complan as i cant eat solids.....i am going to my doc 2morrow to try and get urgent referral....the dental consultant didnt seem concerned about my symptoms and ive no idea if he reffered me to ent as urgent...... it seems like im just paying every consultant to refer me to the next......... sorry to moan but........
