As I have introduced myself during the filling of the form for registering this forum, I am an Iranian studen, 27 years old, and have a tumor (hemangioma)within my face bone (the right part)from when I was 7 years old. During this time I have been operated two times which every one was consisted of several stages with relatively major operations. First, when I was 7 years old, during several operations, the tumor was removed and a tranplant of my costal bone replaced it. After ten years and the relapse of the tumor, it was removed and now was replaced by transplants of both side of my iliac bone. But, as the bone destruction was very extensive, a prosthesis of platinum (a bar) was put a the missing part of the mandibular bone.
Now I feel great pain, and as there has remained only the left set of my teeth, chewing and eating are very hard for me. Also, this prosthesis is the source of the feeling of pain during movements of my mouth such as yawning. But, the most important is a life-threatening growing of the tumor towards upper part of my fact up under the right orbit.
My main problem is a treatment which should be radically enough and life-saving. Such a treatment is nearly impossible in Iran. I am searching a location for continuing the treatment plan with charity and goodwill. If you can help me reply this message. I am ready for answering any question.

Hi,
I'm so sorry to hear what you have been through and that you are having problems getting the treatment you need.
A couple of months ago there was a program/interview on local radio with a guy who works on a hospital ship. The ship is charity funded and visits countries where people have problems with medical care due to political/war situations.
There was a large part of the program where the guy being interviewed talked about the work done with people with head and neck cancers.
I really don't wish to give any false hope but if you wish to log on to 96fm.ie web site and ask for information about the charity they would send it to you.
Regards and good luck
