I know some of you have read Alans stories and i know have helped many. Well sadly Alan died on Sunday 5th September after fighting this terrible illness for over 2 years, i have never ever met anyone with such great strength and dignity as this man did, he was only 35 years of age it was to be his birthday on the 29th September and his sister and brother-in-law had got him tickets to see Billy Connelly in October he was going with his mum, he was so looking forward to this, he even passed all his exams recently for nursing and was offered a place at Carlisle University. His main priority in life was his 5 year old son Ryan i know this as i am the mum of Ryan even though we were seperated he was my best friend who i will miss terribly i cant even begin to explain how much. Ryan does not understand yet that his dad has died but even Alan seen to that by writing a story for Ryan which is on this web site so if youve a few minutes please read it as it will show you what a wonderful man he was. Well thank you for taking time to read this and hope all of you are ok. | |||

Dear Angela Alan was an incredible man. Despite his problems, he was so positive and a great and wonderful source of inspiration for others. His time with us was way too short, but absolutely not in vain. He wrote foundly of you and Ryan. We are comforted to know that we can call him back a little...by reading his story and posts. May our cups be half full of memories, rather than half empty with loss..
