Hey everyone! My name is Jen. I am new to this website.. only because I need some help. I am really scared about a lump I found in my mouth and I was hoping someone could help me. The little lump is on my gums, right above my top, back teeth. The lump has been there about 4 weeks now. I reminds me of a pimple. When I touch it, I can almost pop it. Creamy white/yellow stuff comes out of it. Then after there is no more puss, it start bleeding. The stuff returns back within a day. The lump doesn't hurt, but it is kind of sensitive when I touch it. I am really scared. I was wondering if anyone knows what this could be? And how long should I wait before I see my dentist? Thanks. | |||

Hello Jen You seem to be describing a dental abcess with a discharging sinus, most probably from a non-vital tooth or periodontal (gum) infection. Please see your dentist. Let us know how you get on.
