Hi Jimmy

Thanks for your message of support. I try and put things into perspective but struggle when it comes to health matters relating to my girls and my family, especially after the traumas of the past year. I had the biopsy done on my tongue yesterday. The Consultant is still convinced that the white lesions are nothing sinister but the blood tests all came back clear and so the biopsy was, as he said, more of a routine procedure to "put the issue to bed". Why oh why do I feel so pessimistic? I'll get the results on 15 Feb and I was at work today, second week in my new job, which is helping to keep my mind on track. Freya is still doing well and again, that is all that matters right now. I'll update the message board with hopefully some positive news in a couple of weeks time. Once again, thanks for all of the kind messages and encouragement x

Well, I got the results of the biopsy yesterday and was told it was a "lichenoid" - which sounds like something off Doctor Who! He also mentioned "lichen planus" and when I asked if this was or could be a pre-cancerous condition he said that this was extremely rare and "not in your case". No treatment necessary, come back in 12 months. So, obviously I feel relieved but I'll be keeping my eye on things - could never be complacent any more. I asked what was the cause and he said I might never find the answer but stress could be playing a part or my awful metal fillings!

Freya has her first course of booster vaccinations on Thursday. All of her childhood boosters have to be repeated now, 7 months post chemo and radiotherapy. Freya is not impressed as she had been up to date with everything prior to getting the diagnosis. She is not looking forward to any injections which is totally understandable but we have been showing lots of encouragement and support and am sure that things will be ok. Her next MRI is in 2 weeks and we remain positive for the future. Freya is looking good and enjoying life. Long, long may it continue. Best wishes to you all, thanks again for your support and good wishes. I'll keep you posted on Freya's progress. Take Care, Keren x
