Hi Everyone,

My name is Michele and I'm a 32 year old mouth cancer Warrior, Survivor, Actress, Writer and Mother.

As a thank you to The Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital and to help bring a different awareness to cancer warriors, I am putting together a charity pin-up style (fully tasteful)calender, with a documentary showing the making of the calender and featuring a little from the stories of the ladies chosen to take part.

The aim of the calender will be to shoot each 'pin-up' in a beautiful, stylised, artistic manner showing off her war(surgery) scars, tastefully and elegantly in order to celebrate the battle that she has overcome. As a whole the calender will raise money and awareness and move towards changing the face of cancer and the portrayl of suffers as warriors rather than 'victims'

I would like to hear from any lady willing to take part.

This is a fantastic opportunity to give something back to the community and to help change the face of cancer!

Therfore if you or anyone you know fits the following criteria and you would like to be involved or learn more then please contact me ASAP.

YOU MUST BE:

1)Female
2)18+
3)Have visible cancer surgery scars that you are willing to have photographed
4)A cancer Warrior/Survivor
5)Comfortable in front of a camera and willing to be photographed

This is an exciting project for all who are involved, I can't wait to hear from you,

Michele

I'm sure my daughter,Dawn will be willing to pose for you, She has a a scar where she had her lymph nodes removed, approximately 50% of her neck. She wears the scar as a 'badge of honour' and testament to the fact that you can come through this terrible disease.
She also had 30% of her tongue removed, has undergone counselling and is living a full and active life, thanks to her wonderful surgeons.

Hi Michelle, I too am a cancer survivor with scars to prove it, I have scar that runs from my bottom lip down my chin under my chin and around my neck (all very faint now) also a scar right around my left wrist and forearm from where they took the skin to form the "flap" that covered the hole made by removing the tumour. I'm 56 years old and not particularly photogenic but happy to pose!!
