Hi Hayley and leity
I think we all have one thing in common ( may be many more but as of now)Hayley is a cancerian, Leity was diagnosed in June and I too am a cancerian. Hayley, I went through your blog and I truly admire your grit and acceptance of the situation. I am sure things will work out fine for you. Regarding the tube in your stomach - it is a life saver and in my case my life line so far. I have not eaten or had even a drop of water orally for the last seven years (nearing eight) - however, in most cases unlike mine it is temperory and will be out in a while. I too had cancer of the larynx and was diagnosed in April 2000 at stage 4, and have been through all that you have so far except - I had no side effects or loss of hair. If you do have the time you could glance to my story on the main page - on the right - look and click on Ananth's story. Do keep in touch. Hi Leity, You have been pretty lucky I would imagine and let it remain that way. Do keep posting on your progress. It would be good to hear from you. With love to you both, Ananth Live on your beliefs and strength- and you will become immortal. |

Hello everyone, thanks so much for your replies!
Just thought I'd answer some questions... Yes, I did smoke. But only for about 2-3 years. My Dr said that he doubts it's through smoking (small chance it could of been) but thinks it's just down to pure bad luck LOL. I quit smoking last October, before I had my op to remove a polyp on my left vocal chord (they found the cancer when they were operating) Origionally they thought the tumour was T3 but it's not, it's T4. It's grown out of the cartilige of my voice box and had sort of wrapped itself around. It's really hard to explain without drawing a picture of it! But, it's shrinking so that's good news. They found 2 swollen lympth nodes in my neck but they said they wern't worried because if they were cancerous, the chemo would kill them. Thanks again for all your replies, have a nice evening everyone "I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat.
