Hi everyone

I have been posting on this board for about 12 months now.

I registered under the name 'spouse' as it was my husband who was having treatment for Tongue Cancer, and I wanted to remain fairly anonymous for both our sakes. Sadly he passed away in December 2004. He was 34.

Much of my life has no purpose now, but the one thing that I am certain I want to do is raise awareness of Mouth Cancer. If even just one person can be spared what my husband and I went through, then it is worth it. For this reason I am helping the Mouth Cancer Foundation to help raise funds and awareness.

Therefore it is time to reveal my identity. My name is Kezia Beament and I'm on the new fundraising page of the website. I'm 30 and was a Personal Assistant. I have since left work and I hope to put my admin and organisation skills to good use helping the MCF.

I've not done any voluntary work before, but I'm hoping my experience and passion for getting the word out there will help me. Plus of course, Vinod and Krishnan, who run this site, will be on hand.

I'll be going to the meeting on 9th July. I am looking forward to meeting those of you who will be attending.
