Hi Bev, Yes, it's normal you need to ask your
Doctor for pain meds to get over it. It takes
some time. I'm 15 years out of my cancer. I pray that you make it that far. Are you doing
okay otherwise?

Hi bev,

I had different surgery to you, but there are lots of different pain relief medications available. There are stronger versions of ibuprofen, and after my radiation therapy I was given a liquid morphine called Oramorph. Don't suffer, call your doctor now. He should be able to get something done today, if not I suggest you contact the hospital where you had the treatment. If your consultant writes a prescription you should be able to pick it up from the hospital pharmacy.

One of the things that I was prescribed during and after Radiotherapy was Cocaine mouthwash.
This is one hell of an effective painkiller but you can only get it prescribed in small quantities. Ask your Doctor or consultant for this.
