I'd like to say hello to everybody and wish you all well.I joined forum last week to chat & to seek/offer support. However, since then i have had a needle biopsy done on a lump that seemed to appear from nowhere--on my neck.I go back to hospital onFriday for result.I was told to bring my bags as other tests are needed.I've gone through this twice before and it dose'nt get any easier.I don't want another visit from the cancer fairy.I'm very nervous and tense at the moment.Sorry if you find this depressing.
Regards
caliban

Hi Caliban, welcome to the forum. I hope it all goes well on Friday, like Paul says, we're here to listen and there's no need to apologise for feeling like you do at the moment. Hagg.

Hi Caliban
Welcome, and good luck with your tests/results on Friday.
There are no apologies necessary on this site. It's a fantastic sounding board and you can rant and rave as much as you like because, believe me ~ we have all been there, done that and know just what you are going through.
We'll be thinking of you across the miles.

Hi Caliban,
Who are you apolgising to for your misfortunes? There is no reason as far as I see to get tense or worked up. If you do get the visit from the cancer fairy - well you have the option of treatment or not to take it. Noone can tell you what you must do or dont do. Its your life and you own it and you decide on what you must do - live in fear or accept things as they are. There is absolutely you do nothing with ranting and worrying. Your worrying and ranting may take it toll to an extent that you live in constant fear and I certainly do hope you dont want to do that.
Just wait for the results and then start deciding your future doings but until then just have a ball. Life life as I say King size.
What say Paul? What say Hagg? What say Deb - who I angered by a chance hit on the wrong key on my computer and was told to remove both Trev and Deb from my mailing list?.
I know I sound extremely depressing but trust me I am not - I have started seeing things from the other side of the coin and am stating facts, All the prayers and wishes that is offered has no relavance as what has to happen will.
Take your choice - live happy without fear either way - with or without cancer.
Ananth
PS : I know Dr. Joshi is going to get wild at me to give such advise.

Hello Caliban

It is normal to feel anxious. Everyone experiences it but may react differently to it depending on their experience. Hope all goes well on Friday. Do ask someone to send you a nice bunch of flowers, they uplift the spirit.

My friend Ananth's way is that of the experienced warrior who just gets on with the fight and doesn't worry about worrying and if come to it just says 'it is a good day to die' and sharpens his spear! Roll Eyes

Best wishes
Vinod Coffee

Hi Deboragh,
Thank you for your concern. Was admitted to hospital even though biopsy was "inconclusive" (they messed it up).Was in for 10 days during which i had ct scan, mri scan,pet/ct scan and another biopsy. Was also told that it was cancer, just waiting for results to know how to proceed.Decision to be made at conference on last Monday morning. It was a very nervous timeand when Monday arrived the nerves were not good but i had accepted the situation. However, the Doc comes into my room and says "i have good news for you, you're off the hook. It's thrombosis of thyroid vein" I'm still in a state of disbelief.
Thanks again,Deboragh

No doubt about it! You two blokes are just too clever by half.
Well done to you Caliban. Hagg's footsteps are pretty good ones to follow in. Keep up the good work.
