Hi Clarieash, You're not alone. Many have gone down this path and have felt the anxiety you feel today. Arm yourself with as much info as you can.... it's less intimidating....stay away from the "dark thoughts" as dwelling there will not help the outcome of the analysis you're waiting for.

I'm a 3 time tongue cancer survivor and waiting for my third surgery in August....so I understand the waiting game...most do on this site...how you choose to deal with it is the difference.

For me I've been encouraged by "Casting all my cares on the Lord and He will sustain us". By being able to take them off my shoulders and mentally place "my burden" (cancer)in God's hands has made all the difference to me. It helped me cope and enriched my faith.

Don't want to sound "Pollyanna" about this, but wanted you to know that you're not alone.

best wishes to you...

Hi Claireash, try not to dwell on what it might or might not be. I know that is easier said than done but it may be nothing serious. Hang in there and if you need to scream you can come to the forum and scream all you want. We've all felt like screaming at some point. Hagg.

Don't beat yourself up over smoking Claireash - i smoked for 20 years and got cancer - my Mum and Grandad have both smoked for even longer and they didn't get cancer! I was unlucky! Needless to say I don't smoke anymore and hope you are considering stopping.

Best of luck with everything.

Love Chloex
