Noreen,

click on your own name. your profile will come up. click on private messaging. a new screen will come up and you will see if any messages have come into you. i just sent you one & the topic is "anxiety"..

after you read the message you can reply just like you do on the open forum. just click reply and a window will open up for your message.

you can also click on anyone's name and when their profile comes up, look at the scroll bar on the right and drag it down until you see "send private message" to the name you clicked on.

you can also click on the view forum posts and read any messages the person you clicked on has written on the public forums.

hope this helps.

Another way to access the 'private messaging' is to click on 'Go' in the menu bar after logging in and choose "personal zone' from the drop-down menu which then gives another drop-down menu with 'private messaging' in the list.

Hi Noreen,

It took me a few weeks to get to the tired (exhausted!) phase but as we all say, "Everyone is different." Maybe today's tiredness is a result of the stress of first rads. I think my sessions lasted around ten minutes each and don't remember if the first one lasted longer. Seems like it might as they have to line everything up on a new patient.

I got lost in the music they played and after a while was counting all the buzzes, whirs and zaps that the machinery made. The combination made the time go by more quickly.

Best of luck to you!

Mimi

Hi Mimi

I'm writing for my mum tonight my name is stephanie, as you say each person reacts differently
to rad, mam started her first treatment yesterday, it lasted alot longer than expected, we only expected 5 mins, but hers also lasted 10 mins. Today it was shorter reckon it lasted 5 mins. I'm so delighted my mum found this site, everyone has offered so much support and care.
I offer her all of my support and kindness, but there is only so much i will understand. You guys have been there and worn the t-shirt. I thank you so much for being there for my mum too.
I wish you the best and pray for all suffering and surviving from cancer.
Kindest Regards
