Hi Everyone:

I had two biopsies done today...one on my tongue and one in the area between my gums and my teeth both are on the same side. The biopsy sites are extremely sore and I am taking some pain medication for it. The hardest part of the whole thing is the waiting for the results.

Good Morning Anja,
The "biopsy wait"is a bit of a torment, I think you probably had a similar wait in 2007?
The pain should ease in a day or so but I always find stitches in the mouth are a problem,(a bit like barbed wire) whilst they are supposed to dissolve in a couple of weeks I find it takes much longer so when I go back for the results I ask the doctor to remove them, it only takes a few moments and is painless.
I hope the outcome of your next visit is favourable, please let us know.
Keep Smiling
John

Hello Anja

So sorry to hear about your biopsies. I had two on my tongue, one in 2004 which was one of the most painful things I have ever experienced but which was clear, and one in 2007 which did not hurt nearly so much but revealed that I had cancer. I do hope you get a good result - as John says, please let us know.

Thinking of you.

All good wishes

Gwyn

Hi Anja, I didn't even know I'd had a biopsy, they told me I was 'having some tests' and I didn't realise what they were (Duh).
Like Gwyn it wasn't that bad on the pain front but you can imagine my shock when they told me I had cancer 2 days later.
Hope you get a good result. Hagg.

13 years and still kicking it. Never give up your fight.
