Hello everyone, I only just discovered this site a couple of days ago. Tuesday this week I went for a routine dental appointment and dentist has discovered a white patch on the middle underside of my tongue, quite small about the size of half my little finger nail - and believe me that's little! He has referred me to the Dental Hospital and I am waiting for an appointment - a worrying time.....

Better to be referred sooner than later. How did you go on ?

Hi Winnie, I had an initial assessment and two students and the consultant examined me. They have found three patches, one under my tongue and two on the base of my mouth. The consultant seems to think there isn't much to worry about, but I have to go back and have photos taken for comparisons and also a biopsy. Thanks for caring and I'll keep you posted.
