biopsy tomorrow

Hi my name is Jane, saw my GP Monday pm, phone call tuesday am and biopsy tomorrow. had a sort of very unpleasant 'thing' (ulcer?) for the last three weeks on the right side of my tongue. find it difficult to spit after brushing teeth and sucking a straw etc is a problem. this feels like constant tooth ache in my tongue and a funny metalic taste with a kind of numbness. is this normal with oral cancer? I know i have to wait to be sure but the wait is awful.
many thanks

Jane x

Hi Jane. Personally I think it's best not to speculate although thats easier said than done. Good luck with the biopsy anyway. Let us know how it goes.Hagg.

Hello Jane, yes the waiting is just awful, you will find there are people on here can who can help with most things, but unfortunately waiting isn't one of them. At least the powers that be have'nt wasted any time is getting something positive done. We will keep everything crossed for you and hope every thing goes well, like Hagg says. keep us posted.
