I heard Dr Rodu speak about this revolutionary quit-smoking strategy (A Smoking Cessation Stategy) based on scientific research and common sense at a conference on oral cancer today. This innovative approach might work for your husband. The nicotine in cigarettes causes an addiction and smokeless tobacco allows the addiction but reduces the harm. From what I understand the only brand available here legally is a Danish product called 'Oliver Twist'!

Re the smoking issue, I have always had blinding headaches, and once had to go to bed for two days, as I was so ill after sitting in a meeting with smokers. I'ts all right for the smoker's to say stop banging on and get a life, but let's face it they stink, the curtains are clogged with the smell, I rufused to get in a cab in Paris as the driver was smoking, this almost caused a riot in the cab rank.
around town, people stand outside offices chucking fag ends all over the place, it's a dirty filthy habit. However if they want to they should smoke away, contained in their own stench, and not put it onto others, who want to breath pure air. Remember all those hansome cowboys on the Marlborough adverts, most of them died with lung cancer, they all were given free fags, to help them on their way.
