We are new to your website. Have been told my cancer (in the tongue) is back yet again. Have already had 4 surgeries/chemo and it keeps coming back. Not having any more surgeries. Would like to "talk" to someone who has lived through to the end in the hopes of finding out some of what we can expect. My wife has a degree in Anatomy/Physiology, so we have a good medical base of understanding, but are looking for advice and someone to listen. Have tried 2 other chat rooms but have not found anyone who will discuss our concerns about this type of future - we don't need "encouragement", just to share and listen. Can anyone out there help? Hi Paul & Jennifer, welcome to the boards. Try posting in the "Introduce yourself" board. You have posted in the community album which is mainly used for sharing photographs.

Hello Paul and Jennifer
Sorry to have to welcome you in such circumstances, but you've come to the right place, this 'family' here will all make you very welcome. There will be people who will be able to help, and we're all ready to listen and support you. However, as Mum has said you should also post on the "introduce yourself" board, as it's possible that some people won't see your posting here. Or maybe Krisnan can move your post?? Hi there Paul and Jennifer.Running out of options is a scary place to be.Chasing this blasted disease round and round only for it to pop up again is a worse place to be especially when you have flung everything at it and fought like the devil.
You will find people on theses boards who have chosen not to have any more treatment, who have lost their battle, who have won the war but are struggling with poor quality of life, and or disfigurement, and of course those lucky happy souls who have kicked oral cancer in the arse and moved on. I hope whatever you want to talk over and whatever advice you need, you will find some answers and some help here. love liz Love liz Never take your eye off the ball it may just smack you in the mouth |

Hi Paul and Jennifer
You have made a huge decision no doubt after a lot of stress and trauma through various diagnoses and treatments. You have fought the good fight and I take my hat off to you. You will find plenty of opportunities to vent your feelings, discuss any topic or generally off load here and there will always be someone to pick up your thread. We're all here for each other, 'sufferers' and carers alike. Thinking of you both and sending positive vibes from Down Under Love Deborah |
