my elderly mother has recently been diagnosed w/lucaplacia (sp?). the nurses at the home where she is at told me it was just an infection then someone else told me they thought is was a form of cancer. i am very scared and upset. please give me any info anyone may have on this subject. my mother is 86 years old.

thank you so much for replying Dr. Joshi. And thank you for directing me where to get more info. Can I ask you something? Is it possible that my mother got Luekoplakia because her teeth were not removed and she was not given good oral cleansing?
