hi anne i am newbie i hope you are doing well i have been reading some of your posts...i also have a springer that i got from a guy in the park that was beating her...i gave him 20 quid and intended handing her to rspca i have always had border collies and didnt even like her......she was aggressive and attacked mt 2 dogs both of which were old and if the rspca had been able to get to me that day she would have gone........ one dog died and it broke my heart id had her from 4 weeks runt of litter... cassie springer never got on with the other one who i loved dearly and only went and laid with her the night before she died 18. when i first had her she wouldnt come in the house and was scared of anyone....she hated people.... i had to feed her in the yard putting her dish nearer to the back door each time....first time i picked her up she pissed all over me she was so frightened.....thats when i knew that i wouldnt let the rspca have her.....she is now 15 is still a bit nervy but i know she adores me she wont let me out of her sight i take her everywhere....i used to teach and have her in the classroom using her as a 'prop' for kids to get used to and understand dogs. i luv her to bits and thats the only thing that worries me now im on my own if anything should happen to me..... she used to come in the hospital when i had 2 major heart attacks and helped me get thro it.id be lost without her she is black and white suffers a bit of arthritis but is still lively....
