Hi
On 25 January I noticed a white lump under my tongue and went to the doctor. He didn't seem concerned about, but on my insistance arranged a consultation with the dental clinic, I was unable to make the appointment due to work commitment,and told them I still would like to come in. I haven't heard anything further about another appointment and am honestly too scared to re arrange one, for fear of bad news. Im going crazy and not functioning too well. I realize I must go see the doctor again, and will make another appointment tomorrow, as my hoping this lump will go away is just not useful at all. I have no family in England and don't want to scare my friends with my problems, or work for that matter. I hope I can get myself together and face this thing. John John |

Hi johnoutthere, the best advice anyone can give you i think is see your doc then go for the appointment as the sooner you go the sooner you will know. Also if it is cancer the sooner they get it the better it will be. I know you fell worried we all do, but no good worrying yourself if it is not anything serious. Hope you get good news,keep us updated. hich ever way the results go the people on here will help and support you all they can.

Good for you for sched. w/ your doctor.The sooner the better.My friend was afraid to go to the doctor and waited like 6 months to go to the doctor concerning a very swollen lymph node in his neck.So when he was diagnosed he was already stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma. The doctor told him this would be so much easier if he had not waited. Please don't cancel out of fear. Maybe if anything you will get some peace, anxiety is the worst! JOHN, MY only advise get to the Doctor on Monday.
I can tell you mate that if you wait things will be worse if anything was wrong. IF you are NOT happy ask for a second opinion I never did and it cost me dearly. GOOD LUCK mate let us know. Paul |
