Repeated mouth ulcers..

Folks,
I've been getting repeated ulcers for the last 1.5 months. Ulcers come and go ,i.e. they heal. I couldn't understand why i was getting these ulcers.

Very recently, i got an ulcer on my upper jaw (not roof, just above the tooth and on the outside). I've noticed that it bleeds at times. I don't believe the bleeding is due to my touching the ulcer in anyway. I'm very worried..Is this normal?

I have seen a doctor many times over the last month. Nothing was done cause my ulcers always healed themselves! But this is the first time that i've seen my ulcer bleed and nothing on the net suggests that an aphthous ulcer can bleed on its own. My doc did look at this ulcer yesterday; she said its just an aphthous ulcer.

I've been taking loads of vitamin supplements of late. Our suspicion was that these vitamin supplements have caused my stomach to go bad and have caused these ulcers to crop up...but, i'm very concerned now cause of the bleeding...The bleeding stops pretty quickly...Am i running a possibility of having mouth cancer?

Hi, if you are still worried you should see a dentist or get a second opinion from another Dr. Chances are you Dr is right but you need to have peace of mind. Hagg.

hi,

My husband suffered from repeated mouth ulcers (not cancer patient)for many years(20 yrs). He would have many ulcers and then they would heal.He also has constipation problem on and off. we didnt link it together until i read a article about lip beauty.can you believe it? no doctor was able to find out but if he tries and combats constipation, he wont have. And wen he suffers from constipation he will have it again. Also, i have seen my grand parents and people their age wash their mouth (gargle and spit water) after using restroom. They say it removes some bad stuff (I am from India) . Guess what, if he tries doing it the ulcers heal fast. I think, there could be many factors for mouth ulcers. But hope this helps someone.
