But yes you are right - the doctors told me that once in while I could pour some wine or beer down my peg - but after that one night, where my dear wife had filled a bottle of Pepsi with wine (dont ask me why) and I without seeing poured the whole thing down my peg!!! OH BOY!!! what a feeling and what a hangover!!!! Am off Pepsi and Wine since then.

There is no reason to be disapointed - its just a part of everything you have been through. Everything has its time and all will turn out right. You already have the attitude now you have to see it through.... Chloe, for me smoking had to stop, it still took until a few years after treatments had finished to stop though. Drinking on the other hand I personally feel is different. I still like a vodka or 12 ( ) but now I put loads of coke with it. In my head I think I'm not doing so much harm to my mouth because it's watered down . Nobody's perfect. Hagg.

You dont have to give up everything - just the stuff that you like and have always enjoyed!!!! and as Gwyn says she recovered sleeping for the British Empire, I did bt watching Fashion TV. Those models ensured I stayed in bed with my eyes riveted to the screen. They did do me a world of good, I must admit. Longlive Victorias Secret!!!... and please pardon me if have offended anyone.

Without even attempting to praise you, I cannot help laughing at your perfectly timed sentences. I think you have truly mastered that art. I think I am going to learn a thing or two from that and start using the same!!!... and I enjoy Bob Dylan but hate his droooning voice.

Hi Chloe, having read and digested your posting, wow how great to learn you have completed your treatment. I am the other end of the scale, so if you like I am out of sync with you by 2 months. Like you, speach for me is a struggle, I was told by my consultant it will take 12-18months to recover fully. We'll see about that, mind you my lump was 7cm.

Why write. Well I supopose it disturbs me how people view life sometimes, and the grip of anxiety and depression clouds peoples judgement. Sure its not easy and why bad things happen to the good people I can't answer. Time is a wonderful factor tho, for healing, keep posting, supplying more info on your case, and remember there are lots of even worse off people, bless them.

My voice is coming back slowly but I don't want to over use it. The day I registered with this site I was terrified ans scared - and I am not anymore thanks to all to wonderful people on here and their encourgaging posts. As I said to Ananth a couple of days ago I now intend on seeing my Grandkids - earlier this week I thought very differently.

Anyway a couple of years ago I named myself Princess Chloe of Bletchley - I need to live to reign over my people (my friends and kids also call me this!)

We are all involved in scouting as a family so thát is our hobby. Billy my eldest plays the guitar and is getting really good at it. Jack my youngest loves helping - in the garden, sawing trees. I am away from them recovering at the mo - but have felt too ill to miss them

You said you areat the other end???? Have you started your treatment yet?
