Hello
I saw a lump at the front of my neck during Aug, went to the docs expecting him to say, "that's supposed to be there" but he didn't and arranged for a scan. The scan confirmed a 2cm lump on my thyroid. Then I had a needle biopsy and was told the next day that they found abnormal cells and mentioned fallicular and the next stage was to remove the offending thyroid lobe. So I am now waiting to be called for surgery. Has any one else had similar symptoms. I find it difficult to talk to my family as I don't want them to worry or worry that I am worrying.

Hi Barb, not sure about your question but I do know what you mean about talking to family.
I'm sure most people on the forum have worried about talking to loved ones but you can always come here for support and it will always be available. All the best. Hagg.

Hello and thank you, it's really comforting to know that I will be able to chat here about worries and concerns that I might have over the coming months. Reading other people's stories and I am touched by how brave they have been. So I am determined to keep 100% positive for the future.

Hi Barb,

I see you are from Wiltshire. I was born in Chippenham but live in Ireland now.

I completed 35 sessions of radiotherapy in July of this year for throat cancer and this site and the people on it have been very helpful and supportive.
