Hi.
This was my earlier message """""I posted the following message under Questions, and Dr. Joshi kindly replied, and thought it could be IO, which sounds plausable. However, the more I think about it, I am terrified of my situation. Also, if Dr. Joshi is reading this, I forgot to add that the dentist was reviewing the x-ray and said it looked like "whatever it is, looks as though it is spreading to some degree." He did mention something looked like IO, but then goes on and says "I just am concerned about this missing root, etc..." He did not do a second x-ray, just one of the right side of my mouth for my filling, though. This has had me up late at night, like right now. My x-ray shows strange bone density and there is a missing root, with a strange, white swirly lesion around the area- I do hope this could be a componet of the IO or something similar rather than cancer. In the article it seems as though IO could do this, in fact, my xray looked a bit like the one on the site, but I was just wondering if it could cause a spreading or unbalanced lesion, too. The Oral surgeon said there are many things it could be and his quote, "I would put anything bad at the very bottom of the list." You never know though. The biopsy is on May 28th. I just keep making myself queasy about this. I pray a lot, but have few friends to discuss this with. I was just wondering WHY my dentist is making me so worried... He must think something bad, but then he will go back to "Don't worry, etc..." Anyway, if I could get some more feedback on this, from Dr. Joshi and the usual posters, that would be great. I just keep thinking the worst. Plus, I am unfamiliar with Jaw biopsies, what they entail, etc... I am terrified of the whole thing. Thanks. My date has been moved for tomorrow, due to my fear of things-they said I could have it at the end of the month, though. I just chose tomorrow. I have been having a pulling sensation in my jaw/neck area all of a sudden, and hope this is related to my recent filling. The dentist wouldn't look at this and said to take it to the OS. I have been having many, many sleepless nights about this, and think I may be clenching my jaw/grinding my teeth at night. I am terrified! I pray a lot about this, but really do hope this is not something bad. |

Hi Maxmama
I hate it when doctors tell us not to worry--it's like telling someone not to breathe. I had a similar experience with the first caregiver I saw about my tongue cancer. She said "I don't think it's cancer" which only served to confirm it in my already-tormented mind. I hope everything goes well. Julia Howdilly doodilly, survivorinos! |
