Hi ive been referred to see a specialist with a lump in my mouth. Its a small lump on my gum which ive had for about 8 weeks. I saw my doctor this morning and this afternoon the hospital phoned with an appointment. Is it usually this quick, the speed of everything is frightening me.

Hi Helen,
You dont have to be frightened as your case may have been refered to a specialist - but you dont know what the problem is. I know waiting for a diagnoses is pretty bad - but just be happy and live life normally till the doctors tell you what it is. It may be just nothing and I and imagine the others here too hope that ,that will be the case. Ananth Live on your beliefs and strength- and you will become immortal. |

I saw my gp. I had large swollen gland and felt like s**t. It was my third visit in a week and the lump had been getting larger by the day!
I was in the hospital that afternoon. Speed or what! Unfortunately it was another 6 months until it was taken out! I had secondary tumours in my neck. It's called watchful waiting. Didn't do me any good tho'!! Tony K |
