Hi everybody,

I am really sorry for being so uncommunicative for a long time! I'm still around!!
I started the 6 cycle palliative chemo for the lung nodules in September and due to difficulties in blood counts I am still on cycle 4. The scan after the 2nd cycle showed that one of the nodules disapppeared and the others reduced in size. They were going to stop the treatment as the side effects were getting difficult to control but decided to reduce the dose by 40% and continue. I am having another scan in 2 weeks time and hope that the treatment is still working despite huge time delays and reduction in dosage.
I am trying to find other fellow patients who have been through a similar path with metastatic terminal cancer involving nodules and palliative chemo? Please let me know if you know anybody in the same boat?
All the best
LONI

Hi Loni
Good to hear from you. So pleased to hear you are still battling on. I don't know of anyone else here who is at the same stage as you, but hopefully someone will come forward. Have you been on the CancerActive website? Lots of good tips there.
All the best and a big hug from Cornwall.

Hi Loni

I'm fine (ish) now and all done. Still on 4 weekly checkups but it will soon be going to 8 weekly. A few side effects still but not too bad. Thanks for asking.
How are you feeling at the moment?
Hugs
Vicky x

Hi Loni

I beleive you have been trying to contact me, I will send you a private message with my current email address ok.

Hi to all I hope everyone is a good as can be expected. I must say I am still going strong after my 2 bouts of the big "C". However I still have great difficulty with my eating which does seem to get worse, but there again I am improving with making the smothies. I am in China again as my wife has a growth on her spinal cord and she is having treatment.

All the best for Chinese New Year
Maurice
