Diagnosed breast cancer 2004. Op + Radio Therapy
Pew hard work pulling yourself back. I was just feeling like myself again and October 2008 I found a lump in my neck, not even thinking cancer went to the doctors thinking maybe persistant swollen glands. I was refered to hospital only then did I think no it cant be surely. I had some biopsys done of the throat tongue,tonsil ect. Then the double wammy I had cancer in the Tonsil and two lumps in the neck (lymph glands) one cancerus which was removed the other they could not get out. Had Radio therapy again which srunk the other lymph gland followed by chemo. Then got an infection during chemo and was hospitalised probably the lowest time throughout. When dispite my posativeness I thought on a couple of days I wouldnt make it. But seeing the trauma on the face of my son and daughter whilst visiting me gave me the strength needed to fight.
Have had some side effects from radio therapy rippling nose in my ear. Which causes me to go dizzy and off balance. Had a fall in December after one of these what I call my funny turns.

Since January I have had swelling under my eye on the same side as the throat cancer and a large lump or thickening on the cheek. Had a CT Scan which I believe did not show a tumor my consultant is on holidays for 3 weeks so after insisting on results prior to his return I have got my GP to get the results.

I dont know what the cause of this swelling is and am waiting to see my consultant on his return from holiday. If it had occured after the radio therapy I would have been inclind to think it was radio therapy damage. But as its been 15 months since then with no swelling. I am conserned.

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatful to hear about.
