Hi all
My name is Archie Wilson and I have joined this forum because I have just been informed that my brother has jaw cancer. He does not have access to the internet so I want to help him understand the condition as much as I can. Until now, I had never heard of the condition. The main problem is that his health in general terms is pretty poor too........he is a recovering alcoholic.
I assume this may affect the type of treatment he could take. Any information on the condition, treatment and possible prognosis would be really gratefully received
Many many thanks
Archie

Hi Archie

Sorry to hear about your bother. You will find much of the information you are looking for at the RDOC website in the 'mouth cancer' and 'treatment' sections. You will also find helpful information in the 'cancer guides' section.

Poor health makes it more difficult for the body to cope with treatment, but a strong spirit (with support from loved ones and friends) can help overcome this. Remember, all that we can do is to try our best to live well. Doing things that make others happy and valued is what really counts. That is the only difference anyone can make.

Best wishes
Vinod :coffee:
