hello all my name is neil and i have just joined, i was diagnosed with mouth cancer in march 2002, i had surgery to remove the tumour from the roof of my mouth. the doctor basically told me if they didnt remove the tumour within 6 weeks it would compromise my life. nice. well i am still here feeling great having 3 monthly checks and feel i have everything to look forward to.its been a long hard road but thats all behind me now. thank you for listening.

Hi Neil,

Great to hear you are doing so well after your treatment. Did you just have surgery, or did you have radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy as well?

hi jenni thank you for writing to me. i just had a 13 hour operation to remove the tumour then 3 months later the tumour re-appeared in my neck and i had radiotherapy treatment. its always a worry that it might come back but you have to make the best of things and keep positive dont you think?
