I did forget to mention the Biotene products, thank you, helpingdad. The spray is good for short term relief of dry mouth. At night, I use the gel otherwise I wake up constantly with bone dry mouth. The gel lasts for several hours while sleeping. Have him use either the spray or gel before rad treatments as the mouth gets dry lying there. My experience with the rad and chemo was, they started my chemo a few days before rad, then, I would have weekly chemo treatments set up so I was all hooked up and had the 1st bag in, then the rad center was across the hall so I would just take the IV contraption over with me, do the rad teatment then, back across to the chemo center. It was a real time saver that way. Don't know if your rad and chemo centers are that conveniently located. Also, by all means fix that holiday dinner. He won't be able to eat it but he certainly won't want you and the girls to go without. It's good to be surrounded by normal life and familiar activities. I believe the Canadian Thanksgiving is coming up sooner than ours in the U.S. All the best to you and your family. This message has been edited. Last edited by: DavidR,
