Hi Susie
Not managed a drink yet - still working up to it - but Christmas morning with Champers and OJ sounds a good place to start. Hope I'm not disappointed when I finally get to it!

Hi Gwyn,
Just remember you could find it a little acidic cause of the OJ.
The other option is to add a touch of peach liquer to the Champers & OJ. I "think" that is then called a Mimosa.
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
But whatever it's called, it is very nice too.
Susie

Hi Gwynn

thought I would say hello as my husband is also being treated at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, max facial unit and oncology. He has had fairly radical surgery and has just finished chemo and radiotherapy. I have found this site very useful when you are feeling alone, and the suggestions are very useful. Sorry I can't help with the alcohol question, ask the doctor on the next visit, do you see Mr Avery?

best wishes

Kate

Hi Kate
Thanks for your message. I think I have solved the alcohol question - drinks in moderation at Christmas and other special occasions.
I am finding the site very useful and everyone is so friendly. It is always so good to know one is never really alone.
I have found everyone in max facs at the LRI very helpful; I have seen both Mr Avery and Mr Hayter.
Best wishes both to you and your husband

Gwyn
