I forgot to mention, it would have been my Dad's Birthday yesterday he would have been 78. he died on the Saturday his pension book arrived by post on the Monday on Thursday the day before the furneral the D.S.S wrote to my mother to inform her that her husband was now deceased and she should return his pension book forthwith.

That is so insensitive of the DSS. I hope you have dropped letter about it to your MP. If it happened to your mum it has happened to dozens of other recently bereaved persons.

Thanks Pauline it was 1990 when my Dad died we were to upset at the time to do much just numb from all the trauma it certainly would be different now has I had a large Cancerous tumor removed from the left side of my face (september 2000) another was found on my chest and removed December 2000 underwent chemo Febuary & radiotherapy 2001 I was diagnosed with Hodkins lymphoma but happy to say am now in recession and I am the communications co-ordinator for our support group Face Fax www.facefax.org.uk
