Question regarding biopsy

I had tongue cancer about 7 years ago and over the years I kept getting white spots on my tongue in the area I had the cancer. The doctors biopsy them and they come back as inflamtion. This last time I had two come back as atypical. Should I be worried! The tell me not to worry no big deal but my gut keeps telling me something else.

Hello Donna

It is best to biopsy the white spots that appear. It pays to be vigilant at all times even after being told not to worry. That's the only way to ensure an early diagnosis.

I have moved your post to this forum as it will get more attention.

Best wishes
Vinod Coffee

Im just at the point im tired of dealing with this. I dont feel like I have a normal life. Im afraid to do anything but eat. I dont go out to often except to work. I dont want to be exposed to anything. I dont drink or smoke. I have been smoke free for 7 yrs now.

Im getting ready for a doctors appointment this week. I just had spots remove about 3 months ago and they are already back. This time I have a little more pain and a heavy feeling to my tongue. I'm not sure how much more they can take before I start having problems with talking and eating
