Hi folks, about 4 weeks ago I started with a sore throat, within a further week Id caught a cold and all the symptoms that go with it. The cold went 2 weeks back but Im left finding it painful to swallow at times. Odd, but I can swallow food and drink without any problems, if anything it seems easier with them. Anyway, I visited my Doctor on Wednesday 2nd June and shes sending me to see an ENT consultant based on my answers to her questions. Subsequent to seeing my Doctor I believe I have found a small lump under my left jaw. What questions should I be asking of this ENT consultant who Im with next Wednesday (9th June). Any helpful advice is appreciated and possible clues to what the lump could be apart from the C word. | |||

Hello Simon Vicki's right - you are already asking the right questions! A lymph node swelling under the jaw is most often related to a throat infection. So have a nice weekend and don't worry; it is sunny and warm in my area.
