My name is Terry
I'm 64 and a retired landscaper
I lost my wife Starr of 35 years to lung cancer 5 years ago
I will start treatments for laryngeal cancer in 10 days
Treatment is still to be determined from my
CT scan of last thursday
I am atleast stage 3 but probably worse
after my scan the tech made me wait till he called the Dr
That can't be good
I'm very scared and have never felt more alone
The memories of my wife's struggle haunt me
nightly

Dear Terry, Welcome to the Forum, sorry you've had to join us, but now you have, you wont be alone any more. A cancer diagnosis is very scary & memories of your Wife's illness are very fresh in your mind.
Have your Docs discussed what your treatment will be? There are several friends on the forum here who have had Laryngeal CA & will come to your assistance when they pick up on your posting.
Please be assured, you can ask any questions on here, & let off steam when you need to, there will always be someone around to help. Keep in touch, Fran.

Hello Terry, I am sorry to hear of your recent news but, as Fran says, welcome to the forum where I am sure you will find support and advice from members who have faced this problem before. You can come on here day or night and ask any questions or just vent your feelings. We will be thinking of you on Thursday when you see your doctors. Best wishes Brenda.

Hi Terry, so sorry you have had to join us. But welcome. As Fran & Brenda have said you will not be going through this alone now. We are always here for you and your questions will always be answered in time. Sometimes just writing stuff down helps and it gets it out of your system so never be afraid to say as much or as little as you like here. Keep us posted. You are in my thoughts.
