a message from my wife.

My name is Shari Rincon and I live in Sarasota, Florida. My Father has Esophageal and Gastric Cancer and has just learned recently that the cancer has spread to his liver. He had a feeding tube for six months and has fortunately been able to have it removed about three months ago. My Dad, even though he has cancer, is and always has been very active. He is also very stubborn. It’s the Sicilian in him. Anyway, there was no way the Cancer was going to keep him down so he continued to golf, workout, and do yard work. His activeness caused his feeding tube to fall out three times which in turn caused a great amount of pain, time, and of course money to have it reinserted.

Gang, you have to know my Dad, his wheels are always spinning. He came to me one day and drew me a picture on a napkin and asked if I could possibly put together on my sewing machine ( which I had only used previously for sewing on girl scout patches) this FEEDING TUBE BELT? I told him I would try. So, I sat down and got to work. Anything to help my Dad feel more comfortable and stay active while going through such a difficult time in his life. It took me about a week to figure it all out but I did it and my Father started using it immediately. He never lost his tube again and continued to play golf and do his yard work until the tube was removed. The belt keeps the tube in place without any adhesives, which many people have sensitivity to including my Father. It’s comfortable and not cumbersome and it is washable.

There are so many more advantages to this product but I will save that for a later date. I have to tell you, the Doctors are just amazed that my Father is still alive. He was given 8 to 10 months in June of 2007. I truly believe there are only two reasons why my Father is still with us today and the first reason is his attitude and will to live and the second is the fact that he was able to stay active with the help of this belt. This brings me to the reason why I have decided to contact you. I am not even sure that you would be the person to bring this to but we all have to start somewhere.

The belt does have a patent pending and we are so eager to help as many people as we can to live a fulfilling life while going through such a difficult time. I know my Father doesn’t have much time left but the one wish I would have is that he is able to see that he has done something in his life to make other peoples lives worth fighting for or at least trying to enjoy while they are still alive. There are many Doctors here in Sarasota who saw the belt while my Dad was using it and were amazed and eager for us to get it into production. So we are starting here, but I would like to branch out to touch more lives.

Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa is also very interested and we’ll be up there in the next couple of weeks.
