maybe, like me, you've read his book """C:Because Cowards Get Cancer Too""". If not, you might take a looksee. Krishan maybe we should have an affiliated(?) link to amazon so anyone purchasing books online that have been recommended on this site can contribute towards the upkeep of our site, without paying any extra for their books!

here's a link to a newspaper article that Diamond wrote when his editor asked him to write about """What the f**k is it all about?"""
Reasons to be cheerful
I've read it a couple of times over the past few months and have found it useful

Look Well to This Day

Hi jenbee

Thanks for the link. I read the book 'C' many years ago. It is a great insight into how John Diamond's tongue cancer affected him.

This Guardian article sums up his attitude to life:
quote:
"""It is, above all I suppose, about passing time. And the only thing I know that you don't is that time passes at the same rate and in much the same way whether you're going to live to 48 or 148. Why am I happy? Because I'm alive. And the simple answer to the question 'What the f**k is the point of it all' is this is the point of it all. You aren't happy? Yes you are: this, here, now, is what happiness is. Enjoy it."""
Think happy and be happy Big Grin . It starts inside and is not to be found outside Wink .

Best wishes

Vinod :coffee:

Yes, we could possibly set up a """Bookshop""" section with links to Amazon. Thanks for the idea Jenbee. :geek:

Best wishes, Krishan

SmilerI remember when John Diamond was on the box and I thought God that must be painful, and I really felt for him, but having read the book, I think that he must have been hell for his wife, and she doing all that cooking; I had a friend who is a nurse come over from France and she tried her hardest to tempt me, but I was unable to swallow, and lived on the vile Ensure regime.
