There is a fine line between remaining positive/not accepting the truth, or preparing for the worst/giving up hope?

How do you manage it?

Or do you do as I do and cross the line several times a day (or an hour)

Hello everyone, or should I ask WHERE IS EVERYONE? Seems like everyone has left. I am all for change but I must say I am not to crazy about the new site we have here. Guess I was too comfortable with the old one. So Pikeman how are you doing there? How are you MAURICE? Garance are you doing okay? Brenda, Cathy, Spouse.....Lord I miss everyone.....I have been sick the last few weeks. Cold like symptoms is all tho,I had a petscan, cat scan done as well. My left side of my mouth swelled up so huge that it even shut my left eye and nostril. They still do not know why this happened since it is the right side that had the CANCER in the jaw. So they put me on a ton of med's to try to kill it if it is a infection. They really cannot tell due to all the titanium that is in my jaw. I have no teeth on the bottom so it isn't that. I have been having hot and cold flashes like wildfire. Thought it was menopause but that was ruled out. I know this I have felt better. That is for sure. My buddy PAUL has been so ill lately too. I want to ask all of you to please please say a prayer for him today/ tonight please. He is getting absolutly no break at all. I am so concerned about him. I wish I could just get in my car and drive over to his house. I would if I could. Hell I would being him to my house, put him in the spare bedroom and look after him. I am still upset over Blitzbob. We are all sick but do we really know how SICK we are! I spoke to her alot thru email she never once said VICKI I am at the end....NEVER. If I get that bad I will let you know so you won't be blown away. That is a promise.............Well let's hear from all,,,,Vicki

Vikki, so pleased to see you back on stream, but distraught to hear how ill you've been/are.
Re. new site. I had several problems to start with (all self made) I now think it's much better. Definitely safer.
I think indeed hope that Paul knows he's always in my prayers as are all of you.
Maurice is, I think, a little better but still "slimming". He'll probably let you know eventually.
Me, well just carrying on with chemo and painkillers. Oh yes, they're changing my feed to a High Energy Fibre one given that I've lost 11 kgs in weight over the last 12 months. Wonder if it'll work given that weight loss is closely associated to lung cancer.
Regarding Biltzbob, maybe she didn't know she was so close to the end, after all she was on holiday (somewhere overseas). I've already instructed my daughter to notify the site when I die, which if the prognosis is correct will be sometime next year. Naturally I hope to prove the prognosis wrong, I'd still like to make my 70th. in 2007.
That's it for now and to steal somebody elses lines "May your God go with you"

morning everyone (well its late for me he he)
Vickie, Nice to see you back on line your such a caring person, Don't really need someone to look after me but its so nice to be able to chat sometimes as the loyal friends I have left cannot cope with all the Trauma and usually never ask about the Cancer which is FINE by me but to bottle it all up is no good to anyone.

Pikeman sorry for the anger the other day Red Face
I have a feeling I will go through the gates before you and also told my Sister about the site and put it in the T&A so all my "caring relatives" wil know
What can I say about me,well just the same now I have asthmas as welll and sometimes for no reason start gasping for breath and it frightens the helll out of me
I was at the Max Fax last Tuesday got a reprieve from the Biopsy for 2 weeks as I have cancelled my trip to India on the 9th December as I feel too weak and scared of being ill while away
I had another nerve taken out a tooth on Tuesday and NOW another has flared up and my mouth is swollen hoping to get a Dentist appointment at Max Fax tomorrow.
All the best to everyone

Paul

Hey Paul, no apologies necessary.

I think we're all entitled to anger as long as it doesn't become a habit.

Also it's better to get rid pf it thru' this site rather than inflicting it on people around us.

Think you're wise to have cancelled your trip. There should be another opportunity for a young fella like you (yes I know you feel ancient)

Cheers to all
