Hello all,

I've not posted for such a long time. Sorry. Don't know why.
I was really down and struggling before Xmas - terible mouth sores and ulcers made life really miserable and I sort of hibernated away I guess.
So an update. Just come back from spending time in Rome recouperating - getting my head together - sorting myself out etc. Mouth has cleared up, PEG has gone, eating really well - have had my steak and chips at last!!(still a bit slow, and hard crunchy stuff is difficult but otherwise a normal diet), speaking really well - I have been fanatical at doing all the exercises the speech therapist gave me and it has been relly worth while. Slowly picking up my training - back in the gym but being careful to match my exercise to how much I am eating so as to maintain my weight and not over tire myself. And finally - going back to work on Monday 21st Feb. Again going to try and be sensible at how much I take on etc and know that as a Physical Education teacher that if I am not I will literally run my self into the ground.
So, funny how a couple of months can make so much difference (but then I guess it took one second to change my life 6 months ago.) I feel blessed and very very lucky to have made such a good recovery (so far so good!!) and know that it has changed my outlook on life so much. One, I don't ever say I haven't got the time any more, and two I am so much more positive than I used to be (second chances and all that I suppose, as I really did think I would die when I was in ICU)
So now I'm back, as it where I will try to be better at posting to the site.
