At last, I've got there. 11 years and still kicking it.
On 18th September 1997 I had my first op after diagnosis. They cut everything out and even though I had more ops and RT, I consider the first op the one that got rid of the cancer so thats the date I use.
To everyone on the forum who is suffering, I would say hang in there and never give up hope. Hagg.

Congratulations, Haag!

I admire not only your tats and the great relationship you have with your wife, but also the way you continue to post giving hope (and humor) to newbies and their caretakers.

By the time I have 11 years I'll be so damn old that I won't remember what I'm celebrating. Shoot me an email though - you'll still be around to remind me.

Cheers everyone. I'll hang around for at least another 11 years and hope I inspire a few more Smiler.
I would have taken a lot of comfort from talking to a long term survivor when I was at my worst, so if I'm helping then that's cool. Hagg.

Hi, Hagg,

Congratulations and well done to you. Your positive attitude and helpfulness is, I am sure, appreciated by so many visitors to this site.

Have you marked this in any way - new tattoo perhaps?

Best wishes
Sue
