Hi all,

Hope all's going well for everyone. I'm hoping for some help with a seminar I've got to give in a couple of weeks :soapbox: (that will be interesting, since my speech is still quite rubbish-y!) :sigh:

I'm to speak about nausea and vomiting in relation to cancer and its treatments Eeker . I can clearly remember how I felt Frowner but would be really interested in how others found it (there's only so much you can get from a textbook!)

If you can help, I would need to know if/how badly you were nauseous/vomiting:
- due to your cancer (pain etc)
- due to surgery
- due to radiotherapy
- due to chemotherapy
- due to anticipation (of any of the above, or of going in for tests/clinic/other, or if certain things - journeys for eg - made you sick) I've read about a lady who had to throw a particular cup and saucer :coffee: out, because it reminded her so much of going home after chemo and feeling ill; just the sight of the cup and saucer was enough to make her vomit. With me its the sight of brown bread! Eeker

Any info you can give me will be treated in confidence - you can send me private emails, I believe, through this site. I'll reference this site (all good publicity) but won't mention any names if you wish to remain anonymous.

Thanks a million Smiler I'll let you know how I get on!

 Janette x

Janette, Oh how well I remember the days and nights of sleeping on the bathroom floor. I would like to add something else to your seminar if I may. CONSTIPATION!!!! This was the worst out of everything for me. I got impacted so bad that I had to take things into my own hands (if you know what I mean). It was bad. I have never felt such pain in my entire life. I swore that it would never happen to me again. WRONG!! Three times total. I know better now. You can go to your local medical supply store and buy this. It is called a soap enima. They are great. Tho when you are impacted it can take up to 12 hours to finnaly go. There are so many SIDE EFFECTS to all of this. But this was the worst for me... Thanks Vicki Lynn
