tongue noduleGo ![]() | New ![]() | Find ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply ![]()
Good day! I have noticed a small, colorless lump on the top of my tongue very close to the tip. I would guess it to be the size of 1/2 a pea. I have a hx of light tobacco and moderate drinking.I am 39. The nodule has been present for at least 4 weeks. I often rub my tongue against my lower teeth (LIKE A PICK...SADLY). Could this be a callous or worse, a potential tumor? It seems to flucuate in size and is painless. :help:

Hi Cobby This painless lump at the tip area of your tongue is still present after 4 weeks. It could be anything (cyst?, trauma related to your habit?, etc). It is best that you see your physician or dentist immediately, even if the affected area is painless. Let us know what it turns out to be. Best wishes Vinod :coffee: Disclaimer: Please see your own dentist/doctor for a proper diagnosis as my words should not, in any circumstances, be taken as dental/medical advice.
