Hi Lisa,
Sorry to hear of your uncles diagnosis.
Where is he being treated? Has he not discussed with his team any possible further treatments? What did they advise?
Everyones case is individual & oncologists tailor it exactly to that specific case.
Let us know how your uncle gets on.
All the best,
Michelle

Hi Michelle,
Unfortunately they are saying that he cant have anymore treatment, this is why we are after a second opinion.
He has been treated in Essex but he has been told that there are some great consultants in London. I have to be honest, the team that he has had haven't been too helpful one little bit. Everytime he has asked for anything they seem to hit him with a dead end, either by telling him that he is getting the best treatment or by telling him it is not worth getting any more help as he hasn't got long to live. This has really upset the whole family and this is why we are trying to get more help or a second opinion.

Regards
Lisa

Lisa,
I'm sorry, i don't know what to suggest.
Have you tried contactuing the Royal Marsden? It uas 2 hospitals, one in Chelsea. They have a great team there. & it's the biggest cancer centre in europe. Have you tried asking his team if they can reccomend anyone who may give a second opinion? Has the cancer spread throughout the body? How awful for your family, i feel for you all right now.
Let us know how you get on. I understand it must be impossible to just accept thats it.
Good luck,
Michelle
