What can I say to you people.

I've never thought of myself as being emotional but reading your messages did, quite literally, fetch tears to my eyes. I'll cherish your thoughts for the rest of my days.

After those messages the outcome of the past 48 hrs. makes me feel like a complete fraud. As you may recall it had been indicated to me, although not confirmed, that cancer had popped up in one of my lungs. I was due initially to meet with a consultant yesterday to discuss the likelihood of having to have a bone scan and a biopsy.

A telephone call yesterday changed my appointment
to today (Friday). The consultant I saw asked me what I knew. I told him all I had been told and all that had been inferred. He then advised me that NO cancer cells had been found in the fluid they drained but that the CT scan showed some "knobbly bits" on my lung.

He went on to say that they wanted to "cut a couple of little slits (in my side) push a telescope down one and another tube down the other to snip a piece of the knobbly bits off to find out what it is" More "whilst we're there we'll seal the bottom of the lung to stop any further fluid collecting and then you can go off on holiday". The bits in inverted commas are verbatim, or at least as near as I can remember.

So, much ado about nothing, or ?????

Whatever I'll always have the memories of your thoughts with me.

God bless to you all
