I thought I must update you all about how Graham is doing, while we were going through the nightmare that is radiotherapy I really needed this board and all the good advice and support I received so it's only fair I give others some hope in their dark days.

Graham is 10 weeks post RT and for about 8 weeks was still unable to eat or drink anything (including saliva!) but unbelievably it's just all come back really quickly. It was his birthday on Friday and he managed to eat a (small girl sized portions LOL) takeaway, 2 beers and some cheesecake. Since then there is no stopping him, crisps, bacon, sausages, cereal, roast dinner including roast potatoes. Bread still holds the most problems, but as long as he drinks plenty of water he is fine. He has put nothing down in RIG, not even meds since Saturday so fingers crossed that can come out soon.

I just wanted to share our good news, it feels really great to be normal again, he is even talking about getting back to work. They always ask at the hospital whether you have turned the corner, and we hadn't at the last appointment, now we can't see the corner as he has run so fast past it!!!

Hoooray
